About Chapel Praise

Chapel Praise is a worship service of Church of the City in Franklin, Tennessee, that meets every Sunday in the chapel of the main Franklin campus, at 8 a.m. Led by the Chapel Praise choir and band, the service is a blend of a variety of musical worship styles from traditional to southern gospel to classics and contemporary. We love a great variety of music and our thankful that the Lord has inspired so many different styles of music that we can use to worship Him!

Led by the Chapel Praise choir and band, the service is a blend of a variety of musical worship styles from traditional to southern gospel to classics and contemporary….and of course, we sing hymns too!

We love a great variety of music and our thankful that the Lord has inspired so many different styles of music that we can use to worship Him!

We’ve had the pleasure of enjoying worship styles like:  “Bluegrass”  with a full Bluegrass band; Caribbean… an island themed worship service complete with steel drums;  Classic Worship…a service with classical music featuring a full orchestra of strings…violins, cellos and viola!  And we have enjoyed worship with a jazzy twist with a full complement of brass. But one of our favorites is “Southern Gospel Sunday” when we sing great old convention songs pulled from the treasure chest of hymns ..sometimes they are shape note hymns right out of the Stamps Baxter “Heavenly Highway of Hymns” songbook! And that is also the service when the Stereo Praise Quartet sings great old songs made popular by quartets like The Cathedrals!
